Nichole was raised in Northern California. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from UC Berkeley, she moved to Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2015. Throughout her legal education and career, Nichole’s client-centered advocacy, diligence, and professionalism has earned the respect of her colleagues, opposing counsels, and judicial officers.
In her 9 years as a public defender, Nichole represented adult and child clients in rural and metro jurisdictions on every type of case from traffic and petty offenses to first degree murder.
She has a deep understanding of adolescent brain development and the specific needs of young clients gained through defending children as young as 10, advocating for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting those who have experienced significant trauma, and representing juveniles charged as adults.
As a sex offense liaison and problem solving court team member, she obtained extensive specialized knowledge in addressing the complexities of mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and the legal challenges associated with sexual offenses, allowing her to provide informed and compassionate legal representation tailored to each client's unique needs.
Outside of work, she spends time growing and propagating house plants, pampering her cats and dogs, and engaging in outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and running, which help her stay balanced and energized.
